Articles
My spelling and grammar skills are a bit lacking, but you may find some of these articles useful.
- Backpacking for the Out-of-Shape Beginner - This writeup has actually become quite popular on the web (I have a lot of links to it according to my web logs). Although somewhat embarrassing, I think you'll find it useful if you are new to backpacking.
- Behavior Shaping Techniques for Dogs and Humans - Socialization and Exercise - I have raised from birth and adopted more animals (specifically dogs) throughout my life than I could even begin to count—everything from Ferrets, to Birds, to Tarantulas, to Geese, to Dogs and back again. Many of the dogs I've owned were rescued from kill shelters, no-kill shelters, and other dog shelters. I have dealt with just about every kind of behavior issue out there including aggression, shyness, hyperactivity, and everything in between. This article lists some of the techniques I've learned over the years that helped in dealing with these behavior patterns. I do not consider myself a professional, but the techniques I have used through the past two decades are also used by many of the most respected dog trainers out there. Take it or leave it; this is my advice.
Reviews
I decided to do short product reviews for my friends, family, and anyone else who happens to stop by this site; hopefully these quick reviews will help somebody. If you'd like to see a particular product reviewed, contact me and I just might have it.
